Cooking and farming go hand in hand, growing our own, from our gardens to your plate. Our philosophy strives towards a future of good land use incorporating self and local sustainability, environmentally friendly standards, preservation and conservation of agricultural land and water.
In 2001, we purchased a beautiful fifty acre parcel in the Missouri Heights neighborhood in Aspen's Roaring Fork Valley. This historical farm land was used for growing hay and potatoes and was pasture for many cows in the winter. Over the next several years, we continued the hay operation with the traditional methods of flood irrigation. In 2005, wanting to conserve water, our time and energy, we installed a 760' long center irrigation pivot to grow more consistent and quality hay. In 2008, we completed our new Fusion designed residence and business and moved in with a dream to expand our agricultural business to include growing our own fresh herbs, flowers and vegetables for our catering business. Our dream for the future is a solar greenhouse to grow year round for our catering business and to grow for the local community.
